The Suicide, Belvoir, 2023, Jonathon Nicola

Jonathon is a proud Australian-Cypriot, born and raised in Sydney, and is a passionate performer; fascinated with the craft of acting. He is also an avid writer; his work including theatre, poetry and fantasy novels. He is additionally a director, producer and editor.

Having studied at JMC Academy and attained a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Acting), Jonathon has performed in many theatrical and film productions, with shows directed by the likes of Fredrick Copperwaite in The Suicide (staged at downstairs Belvoir). At the conclusion of his studies, he additionally wrote, devised and performed his own piece at the Sydney Opera House, titled Because…, directed by Jane Angharad.

In the industry, Jonathon’s numerous theatrical appearances have included Benvolio in Her Productions’ Romeo & Juliet: A Reimagining (which won ‘Best Production’ at the CONDA), The Old Fitz Theatre’s Senseless & Fitz events, as well as multiple shows at The Phoenix Theatre including R.U.R, Servant of Two Masters, and Paradise Lost.

Jonathon is currently based in Sydney.
